Role models

I think it's difficult for a person who's different, racially, to feel pride, pride in who they are. In terms of representation, if you are different you shouldn't be afraid to stand with that, and I feel like if there's a figure, especially, like, Coach Freeman, he's a big figure who comes from two different, extremely like, niche backgrounds, and he's like a role model and influence to people like that he has become extremely successful and hasn't let his race or anything like that bring him down and hold him back. And so it's extremely influential, like, he's representing huge communities that are relatively underrepresented in our society today. It's extremely admirable.

Growing up, I always looked up to, like, my dad. He's an Egyptian male, and he came to a foreign country, not knowing anything about it. And he didn't let any of that hold him back. He's one of the most successful physicians that I know. And, as I've gotten older, I also see my mom, who left her whole life to follow this man who she just married. And She raised three kids on her own, with the help of her husband I don't know, seeing the strength and commitment to sacrifice of themselves. Not just for the betterment of themselves, but their priority was their kids. Right. They've just, that has just like, ripple affected throughout their lives, and they've impacted so many people in a positive way.
